Anime Evolution - Anime Con 2008

   The Con was a three day thing, from Friday to Sunday. I went on Saturday, knowing it's gonna be the most active day. Here on this post you will adventure with me with pictures, of course. :P
Numbers indicated at the start of a sentence means the picture it is directed to. Yeah.

   We have entered the campas! My friends who came were Binita (as student #47 from nowhere), Nancy (Tifa from Final Fantasy Advent Children), Laura-who went with her grade 11 friends (Toph Fire Nation from Avatar), and Crystal (who didn't cosplay). I'm very against cosplaying. <.< Therefore I have not.
   The line was shorter than I expected. I was at the stairs when I got there. My friends went on Friday and had to wait for two hours just to get their past. Woot for being early!
The pass cost me $45 dollars. x.x Expensive cause it was a Saturday. >.> My pass siphoned all my cash, leaving me with 13 dollars and 47 cents in coins. Gah.

   First event of the day was the Guys Walkoff, a competition for two guys to win the judges over with styling moves as they take turns going up one by one. No pictures taken here, my camera can't zoom in far enough and it was dark anyways. If anyone is interested, videos should start popping up on Youtube. Give it a week maybe and it should be there. :) Some are pretty good, by the way. xDD

   There was a Super Smash Bros Brawl Tournament, and decided that I should sign up for it. It's 9am at the moment, and registration goes on for a full hour until it actually starts at 10:00.

^1. Waiting for the doors to open, I come across someone from the dead after being shot by a thousand bullets... (this picture is dedicated to Kylie, having to embrace this one character with only thirteen seconds of screentime.
^2. As I was watching from the back I can't help laughing inside of someone being 'in character'.
^3. And so it has begun... the room where it settles it all. Rules were: four player free for all match (until the final couple it will be 1v1), survival with three lives, three minute game, certain stages only, and no items.

   So. What about me? Oh god. >< Alrighty, as a Meta Knight user I'm fully aware that I'm the lightest out of the four in the group. There was an Ike, Marth, Zelda, and me. I knew there were going to be tons of Ike users due to his heaviness and and insane spike damage. While the moments waiting at the roster page, I was thinking maybe I should go Ike or Wolf was well, but I'm not too sharp with slow characters. x.x So I sticked with my usual Meta Knight, and what? First one to be eliminated. So to speak, we all got finished by weight: Me, Zelda, then Marth, leaving Ike going to the next round.
Sadly I'm pretty ashamed of myself. x.x Meta Knight isn't ideal for a four player free for all match, especially since all I've been playing 1v1 matches with computer. I don't have Wi-Fi, which shortens my chance with playing with other people and getting to know how they play. >.> So I was pretty boned. If it was a 1v1 match, I would have had a chance. Enough ranting. There will be ANOTHER TIME!

   Guy as Link was Zelda in the SSBB tournament as I mentioned earlier, sitting right beside me. He's nice, haha. x3

^4. Sango and human Inuyasha from Inuyasha. Kinda.. Odd..
^5. Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII. There were like three other people asking for a picture too, so he put on his gloves and didn't look amused at all. AHAHAHA.

   Now we went in to the Art Dealer's hall cause we were hungry.
^1. I got a poster!! :O It costed $15 dollars, but amazingly we picked up $5 dollars while waiting in line. We didn't jack it, we gave it time for its owner to find it, but NOPEZ. Big woots to Snafu-Comics for making such a beautiful piece~ <3
^2. I wanted to see a Transformer in the Convention, but I guess this will do. xD

   Going to the dealer's room. We got lucky on the long line up and went all the the way to door before it closes a couple minutes later.

^7. Female Predator. This would have to be my favourite cosplay in the entire convention. The mask is brilliantly made, brown of different shade splattered on her back, legs, arms, and the initial fishnet cover her body, plus loin cloth.. And some cocanut bra thing.
